International Seminar on Veterinary Anatomy Education

The International Seminar on Veterinary Anatomy Education, a collaboration between the Iranian Asscociation of Veterinary Anatomical Science (IAVAS) and the World Association of Veterinary Anatomists (WAVA), will be held on March 11, 2022, virtually. The aim of this seminar is to provide a platform for the exchange of ideas, opinions, innovations and research on topics related to education in the veterinary anatomical sciences (gross anatomy, embryology and histology) at undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate levels of education.
Registration is free of charge. The deadline for abstract submission deadline is February 25, 2022.

The Second Peruvian Congress of Morphological Sciences

Young generation of veterinary anatomists
The Ninth Meeting of the Young Generation of Veterinary Anatomists (YGVA) was held in Brno, the Czech Republic, from July 12 - July 14, 2017.
YGVA congresses are open to young researchers interested in the field of morphology. Traditionally, the main focus of the YGVA is to promote the latest developments in research and teaching in the field of veterinary morphology. The meeting in Brno focussed in particular on practical training, with a broad spectrum of workshops.

Anatomy faculty opportunities at Colorado State University
Department of Biomedical Sciences at Colorado State University (CSU)
The Department of Biomedical Sciences at Colorado State University (CSU) is seeking two non-tenure track assistant or associate level professors to teach in the DVM, undergraduate,and graduate curricula (ex. animal gross anatomy, neuroanatomy, histology, physiology, pharmacology, embryology, pathophysiology). These two 9-month positions will be integral members of the anatomical services teaching team and will integrate into other DVM and BMS courses as expertise allows. These faculty will contribute to curriculum development, student advising, and support K-12 outreach efforts. Opportunities for summer salary exist with involvement and/or contributions to summer teaching, research, outreach. The Department of Biomedical Sciences (BMS) in the College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences (CVMBS) is a major locus for biomedical education including undergraduate,graduate, veterinary and post-doctoral training and for translational biomedical research at Colorado State University. BMS houses more than 30 research laboratories. Faculty members’ interests run the gamut from reproductive biology and endocrinology to molecular neuroscience and cardiovascular physiology.
Required Job Qualifications:
Applicants to Assistant Professor rank will have a terminal degree such as DVM or PhD, or equivalent. Applicants should have relevant experience as a postdoctoral fellow,
instructor, lecturer, or assistant professor and other qualifying credentials.
Applicants to Associate Professor rank will have a terminal degree such as DVM or PhD, or equivalent. Applicants considered for Associate Professor should be at the
rank of associate professor or have five or more years of experience at the assistant professor level with evidence of sufficient scholarly activity and other qualifying
credentials.
For either level, the other qualifying credentials include: creating and directing courses, peer teaching reviews, course surveys, record of scholarly activity. Information about grant funding, publications, citations, history of invited talks, professional society involvement is encouraged. Progress is expected in these areas over time, and whether or not a candidate is qualified at each level is evaluated by department faculty.
Preferred Job Qualifications
-Experience with web-based and/or laboratory course delivery systems
-Two or more years of experience delivering professional veterinary medicine curricula with topic area expertise for curricular delivery
-Two or more years of experience teaching anatomy in a gross anatomy laboratory setting
